Editor's Review:
I have always found jim carey a little too loud like our "Goundamani". This movie changed that. I had read reviews telling me that jim was a good actor and this movie proved it. This is a story about a failed TV weather man who discovers love and in the process God. Like most men who think that success and love is about quantities, jim too starts off trying to get the best stories for his channel and gifts for his lady love. In typical movie style he realizes that whatever he did seemed to fall short. God has had it with his complaints and makes jim god for a week. Jim really thinks that the job is easy. He starts granting wishes all around. The scene where he sorts out prayers and wonders how do to it is interesting. He even pulls the moon a little closer to impress Jennifer. Naturally all his actions have consequences and he realizes that life and love is not all about achievements but more about giving and caring. The movie sees jim performing without too much of his usual antics and touches the heart. The reformation of man…always a good theme.
